Witnesses have this morning begun giving evidence at the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in State Care. One of the first to appear will be high-profile former prisoner Arthur Taylor, who will describe the abuse he suffered in a boy's home. Twenty-eight people will share their experiences of being in the system between 1950 and 1999 over the coming weeks. A final report from the inquiry is not expected until 2023.
